ST. JOHN’S SPRING CLEAN-UP:

St. John's members, it’s time for Spring Cleanup! We’ll gather at the church on Tuesday, April 28th at 5:00 PM. Please come lend a hand as we spruce things up for the season.

HEADSTONE MAINTENANCE OPPORTUNITY  AT AUGUSTANA                                                   

“Headstone Revival”, a gravestone cleaning and washing company owned by Matthew Mickelson in Nicollet, will be in Gibbon this summer to lift headstones that have sunken into the ground and to wash any needing cleaning.  If you or anyone you know would like to get more information on this service, please contact any of the Augustana cemetery board members (Otto Hartmann, Curtis Olson, Mark Turtle, Bob Sievert or Jim Berger).  

NIC CONGREGATIONAL MEETINGS

TO BE HELD IN MAY

Congregational meetings will be held to amend the NIC Parish agreement, removing the last line of “Article IX Pastor”.  Copies of the Parish Ministry Agreement can be found in your church narthex. 

The congregational meetings will be held following worship as follows:

Sunday May 3rd

   St. John’s & First Lutheran

Sunday May 10th

   Augustana

Results of the vote will be announced on Sunday, May 17th

 SW MN SYNOD WELCA CONVENTION

 The SW MN Synod WELCA Convention is being held on Saturday, May 2nd at Calvary Lutheran in Willmar.   More information and sign-up sheets to attend are in the narthex at Augustana.  

AFRICAN MISSION PROJECT GATHERING

April 23 at Trinity Lutheran in St. Peter

The spring gathering for the Minnesota Valley Conference African mission partnership is 6-8 p.m. Thursday April 23 at Trinity Lutheran, St. Peter starting with a simple meal with free will offering. Representatives from each conference congregation are sought, while all are welcome. A special guest will be Rev. Dr. Hollie Holt-Woehl, who recently consulted with partners from the Southeastern Diocese in Southern Africa.
